Today I made the background, created the steering wheel out of shapes and gradients. Added the text and applied effects. To finish, I will draw a road in the background and finish adding text.

Pumpkin Project, News Story

What I was supposed to do What I got done
Finish Pumpkin Project Applied Stamp Filter, Changed blending mode to multiply. Printed, cut and put on display.

Edit News Story Video
  1. Create a folder in your D-Drive for the "News Story"
  2. Copy video clips into that folder
  3. Open Premiere and create a new project named "News Story" and assign the location to the folder created in the D-Drive
  4. Import the clips from the D-Drive into the Premiere Project
  5. Double-Click clips to view in Source Window. Create In/Out points
  6. Drag to timeline
  7. File->Export Media

  • Used the razor to trim
  • applied brightness/contrast effect

  • Imported the photo and pumpkin picture into Photoshop
  • Masked the face and sized it to fit onto the pumpkin

Parallax Project, Video Editing

What I was supposed to do What I got done
Finish Parallax Project/Submit in Classroom
Added title, Exported as a video. Submitted in Classroom and Community


Video Editing in Premiere
Project set-up, imported the video clip, used "In/Out" points to mask out unwanted parts of the video at the beginning and end.
Finished by export media as .MP4
Here is the start of it.

Parallax Project

What I was supposed to do What I got done
Finish the Parallax Project Used the timeline panel in Photoshop to create keyframes and transfrom the size of the person and the landscape background.
Some images needed to be converted to Smart Objects in order to do so.
We added audio by converting YouTube Videos
We added text with a stroke and made it animate to get bigger
Finally, we exported the video as an .MP4 at low quality so it would upload here.

Character Scene Completion & Applied Math

DO NOW:

  2. Show me your After Effects demo from yesterday if you did not post in your summary
  3. Print out your characters from  Illustrator and pin-up on the "Drawing Board". FIT TO PAGE

OBJECTIVES:
  1. Download and print Character Scene Score Sheet
  2. Record Character Scene
  3. Edit in After Effecst (Add titles, background and sound to scene)
  4. Render as .MP4
  5. Submit to Google Classroom
  6. Math- Pi Day Activity

  1. Import Character Scene into After Effects - Printed Direction
  2. Pre-Compose layers
  3. Add background image and Sound












  1. File->Script->New COmp from character Animator Recording
  2. Pre-Composing Combine layers 
  3. Add background image: File->Import which brings the file into the project panel. Then double-click or drag to timeline
  4. Added preset animations by dragging from the panel to the text and also by manually animating opacity using transform options

  1. Place images in document: your "After Image", "Mouth Poses" and background
  2. Record/Edit Audio
  3. Sync words to audio
to hear the sound while scrubbing:
select the sound layer
got to the properties panel->sync->stream

to import the mouth poses:
file->import->open external library->select mouth.fla

to sync the voice with mouth:
move the playhead to where the voice starts, insert a keyframe (F6), select the mouth on the stage, click the frame picker button in the poerty panel and choos e the pose which matches the sound

Brightness
Motion Tween
Go to frame where animation will end
"Insert Frame"
Click any frame in between, right-click select "Create Motion Tween"
Got to the last frame and move the object.

Have color change animated:
Select the object in the frame to be changed
Properties->Color Effect
Tint:Color change
Alpha: Opacity
Brightness

create a simple animation Made a walking line by inserting blank keyframes and drawing in them. We also used the onion skin tool to see more than one frame at a time.
